Polyibadan ASCOM Plays HOD Cup Final at Ilaji Stadium, Opens Players for Scouting Opportunities

The Association of Student Communicators (ASCOM) The Polytechnic, Ibadan has again record an indelible print as it concludes her HOD's Cup finals at Ilaji Official Stadium on Sunday.

The association led by Comr. Kehinde Ayanboade play the final between ND1 A and ND1 team B as part of her activity for the 48 Hours Ibadan City Tour organized for students from all arms of the Mass Communication Department, The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

The match ended in a 3 - 0 win by ND1 A, against defeated ND1 Team B, with 2 straight goals and a penalty shot in the first half of the match. 

The President of the Association, Comr. Kehinde Ayanboade who also represents the Head of Department, Alh. Najimdeen Adunola while giving his remark at the final match maintained that the football match is organized to strengthen the spirit of friendliness, and togetherness among students of the institution.

"We organized this event to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and togetherness between our students.

"We also realize that aside academics, our students have one talent or the other, and we see it as a needed necessity to help create opportunities and encourage their talents which include football.

" One of our priorities as listed in 5 - point agenda is Opportunities, Ilaji Sport and Resort is a great entity when it comes to football, they housed Malaga FC, Swieqi United and other great football team, and this is why we have created relationships with the sport management of Ilaji Sport and Resorts to register our great players for their next scouting activities." Ayanboade claims.

The association sport director, Com. Raheem Ismail in an interview with newsmen claimed the match is to make everyone have a fun filled adventure adding that students who has interest in footballing will have the opportunity to showcase themselves.
