Association of Student Communicators (ASCOM) ,The Polytechnic, Ibadan has officially announced the commencement of her extra-curricular activities with an Inter-Level debate.
The debate which is set to hold on Thursday, 26th October, 2023 (12noon-2pm) at the 350 capacity hall.
The announcement was made available by the office of the Public relations Officer headed by Comr Adewale Oluwaferanmi.
While Speaking with the president, Comr Adewale Gbolahan, he said the Program is a process to enhance Students sense of apex communication, Speaking skills and also embedding courage in them while speaking publicly.
He also narrated that his agenda is to continuously engage students with such programs and also make the program a monthly one and also introduce other Extracurricular Activities.
“Im delighted to announce to Ascomites the maiden edition of the Inter level Department and i want to ensure them that the program will come up at least once in a month and i promise y’all that my regime will enhance the students communication skills and also build a good public speaking skills”,he said.
Participants are to prepare to present on the topic "The Impact of Social Media on Journalism Ethics". A trending discussion topic every student should participate in.
Participants from each level is expected to be represented and also showcase what they are made of.
It is also initiated for confidence building, civic engagement and student career advancement.
The extra-curricular activities will also encourage the Mass Communication Student to improve more in there public communication skills.
