ASCOM Alumni 2005 set presents Gate pass to management, set Standard for others

Association of students communicators Alumni (2005 set) has donated 500 pieces of gate pass to the management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

The event took place at the Central Administrative block , The Polytechnic, Ibadan on Thursday, 23rd November 2023.



The 2005 Alumni set of the Association of Students communicators has been noted for several donations over the years and a usual habit of giving back to the institution.


The alumni body was welcomed by the Registrar , Mrs M.T Fawale who talked about the essential role played by the body and also remembering their root after years of graduation.



Also speaking at the event , Mr. Olawole Ojetola, The Institution Bursar, addressed and praised their apex mentorship spirit and also said such support will serve as an open to both junior and senior colleagues of the institution.


The president  of the alumni Body , Mr Lucas Akinleye said the event will serve as wake up callto  other alumni body to give back to the institution.



Recall that the same 2005 Alumni set Bought computer sets last year(2022), in 2017, beautified the HOD's office. 


The alumni body was inaugurated in 2015. And in their 8years existence,  they have done so much to give back to the department and institution at large.



The Alumnis present at the official ceremony was Afolabi Afolami (SUG PRO 2003/04) , Mr. Adeyemi Adedokun, Mrs Abimbola Olayinka(Treasurer of the Alumni body), Mr. Olukunle Babalola(Mr. Sugaray) Vice President of the Alumni body.


Mr. Lucas Akinleye, The President of ASCOM ALUMNI 2005 also charged the current ASCOM EXCOS present at the donation to also inculcate the habit of giving back and setting standards.



The Head of Department , Mass communication , Dr Olusoji Olatunji (King of Boys) also commended the alumni executives, for their kind gesture towards the institution , and also said they have  proven themselves to be a bonafide Mass communication student as this a deliberate, planned and a sustainable action which shows their Public Relations knowledge.



Speaking at the event and also showing apex gratitude , The Current president , Association of Students communicators , Comr Adewale Gbolahun Faruq , appreciated the alumni and also mentioned that Mr. Olubukola Adio , Mr. Adeyemi Adedokun who are lecturers of the Mass Communication Department, TPI are also member of the prestigious set, also applauded the institution for accepting the school’s product.
