Oyo State Strengthens Student Affairs, Appoints Azeez Kehinde as Technical Assistant

The Oyo State Government has appointed Azeez Kehinde as the new Technical Assistant on Indigenous Students’ Matters in the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students’ Affairs. The appointment, announced on December 8, 2025, was confirmed through an official letter signed by Hon. Victor Olojede, the Senior Special Assistant on Students’ Affairs.


According to the letter, the appointment reflects the government’s confidence in Kehinde’s dedication, competence, and capacity to support policies and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and development of indigenous students across the state’s tertiary institutions.



In this role, Kehinde will provide advisory support on issues affecting indigenous students, help coordinate and document welfare programs, and engage with student bodies and relevant institutions to gather insights that can strengthen policy decisions. He will also assist in planning, monitoring, and evaluating initiatives related to indigenous student affairs, as well as other duties assigned by the Senior Special Assistant.


Azeez Kehinde is a Mass Communication graduate of The Polytechnic Ibadan. He previously served as President of the Association of Students Communicators for the 2022 to 2023 academic year.
