The Ayanboade Kehinde Led Administration can be said to be evidently leading the Association of Student Communicators, ASCOM, The, Polytechnic, Ibadan to the next Level.
Ayanboade who with 19 other executives sails the boat of ASCOM, a student - association for students studying at the Department of Mass Communication at the first half of their tenure deemed it fit to upgrade the ASCOM PRESS Website from the freely hosted and unprofessional standard to an official and professionally structured online news website.
The ASCOM PRESS website which was formally regarded as ASCOM eye, will now be regarded as ASCOM PRESS, and the website now run a ".com.ng" domain rather than the initial free subdomain ".blogspot.com".
The website can now be visited with the url "ascompress.com.ng" thereby unlocking more features and a better user's and reader's experience.
The President of the Association, Comr. Ayanboade Kehinde in a short chat with Ascom Press Editor-in-Chief maintained that the website needs to be put in the best of standard.
" We are students and enthusiast of Journalistic Practice, and we should be able to exhibit what we've learnt even before we leave here.
" ASCOM PRESS exists before my emergence, but if I have to be factual with you, I wasn't happy and satisfied with the appearance and standard, maybe due to the vast I've gained from this profession.
"Well, we have deem it fit to upgrade the Press Forum to be a standard media organization, that can feature stories from different part of the country. And with this, we belief students would be proud to be part of this movement."
"I endeavor you to run a sustaining and consistent press forum. If we are consistent and we maintain ethical standard of Journalism. This press club which started from the corner of a department can compete with other Online News Platforms in Nigeria and across the globe."
Also speaking With ASCOM PRESS, ASCOM Public Relations Officer, Com. Taiwo Sunday maintained that " what's worth doing is worth doing well".
Comr. Sunday described the upgrade of the Press Forum as a nice development as he enjoined that Students should queue into the great opportunity to exhibit their potentials, and put what they're being taught in class into practice.
