Senior principal lecturer, Bolarinwa retires in grand style

One of the Senior Principal lecturer of Mass communication Department, Mr Rotimi Bolarinwa has been honored with a talk of the town Retirement  ceremony.

The department gathered to celebrate a father figure senior lecturer who has served the department effortlessly with all his might and strength.


Former head of Department, Mr Rotimi Bolarinwa has been noted for series of achievement during his service for the department both as a lecturer and also the head of the Department.



In attendance at the event include the current Head of Department , Dr Olusoji Olatunji , immediate past Head of Department, Dr Najeemdeen Adunola , Mr Olagoke , Mr Odugbemi ,  Mr Raji , notable Dignitaries, other lecturers of the department ,  non teaching staff, Students and well wishers.



Speaking at event, The man of the day , Mr Rotimi Bolarinwa expressed his gratitude to God and the department at large , thanking God for a service year well spent he also appreciated the department for honor and pledged his availability to the department even after retirement.



He also expressed his overwhelming gratitude for the great and historical celebration in his honor and also expressed gratitude for the words of affirmation and appreciation said by those who spoke at the event.



Speaking at the event , the immediate past  Head of department, Dr Najeemdeen Aduola spoke of the good deeds done by Mr Bolarinwa and also commended the selfless effort of service to further foster  the growth of the department.


Speaking with our Correspondent, Mr kehinde Ayanboade , one of the past president of Association of students communicators (ASCOM) , said He lived a wonderful life, with great reference , a teacher , a mentor and a motivation to all.



“I know him to be a father figure  who has showed me beyond be life beyond just lecturing and has also served as a mentor to me who has motivated me to live a life worth celebrating”


“God Bless him for us and i wish him a good life after service and hope for the best for our father “ , He said.


Also speaking with our correspondent, the current president of Association of students communicators , Mr Adewale Gbolahan Faruq , he portrayed him to be  a father to all and tagged the event as a fore-more and memorable one.



“The event is an historical one which remains the talk of the town , i commend the efforts of the Department, The ASCOM executives and the planning committee Inorder to make this event a memorable and remarkable one”, he said.


Mr Rotimi Bolarinwa was gifted a well packaged high performance cooking gas as a means of appreciation from the department and year of service well spent.
