Earlier in the week, the Head of the Department of Mass Communication, The Polytechnic Ibadan, Dr. Olusoji Olatunji, charged students of the department to comply with the departmental dress code and adapt to the institution’s guiding principles. He admonished them to adhere strictly to the code of conduct of the institution in order to avoid any form of disciplinary action.
This charge was made while delivering a lecture to the newly admitted HND 1 Mass Communication students at the Rotunda Hall of the institution.
Dr. Olatunji emphasized that the Department of Mass Communication has long maintained an excellent record and upholds an outstanding reputation within the institution. He further noted that the department has zero tolerance for indecent dressing, stressing that all students must comply with the departmental dress code, as they will be closely monitored.
He also encouraged the students to remain focused on their academics, stating that academic excellence remains the key to achieving outstanding performance both in the department and in the institution at large.
