The Polytechnic Ibadan Reiterates Its Commitment to Societal Leadership

The Acting Rector of The Polytechnic Ibadan reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to nurturing outstanding leaders during the 2025/2026 academic session matriculation ceremony.




The event was attended by top management officials, including Dr. Abideen Lasisi, Acting Rector, and other senior members of the institution’s leadership team. The ceremony highlighted the Polytechnic’s mission to develop innovators, nation-builders, and socially responsible graduates.



In his address, Dr. Lasisi commended students for their positive conduct and encouraged them to pursue their academic goals with perseverance and discipline. He cautioned against involvement in unlawful activities and stressed the importance of monitoring and maintaining personal integrity throughout their academic journey.


Dr. Lasisi also advised students to report academic challenges to the appropriate offices, such as the Directorate of Student Affairs, faculties, and departments. He appealed to parents and guardians to stay actively involved in their wards’ academic and personal development to ensure discipline and a strong foundation for success.






Expressing gratitude to the Oyo State Government for its continued support, the Acting Rector assured students of adequate facilities and resources to enhance their learning experience. He officially declared the matriculation ceremony closed, warmly welcoming the students to The Polytechnic Ibadan, one of Nigeria’s most esteemed institutions.
