In line with the popular saying that all work and no play makes Jack a dullard, the Association of Student Communicators, ASCOM, organized its Freshers and Stalites Night to provide students with an opportunity to relax, socialize, and strengthen bonds beyond the classroom.
The event, which brought together students of the Mass Communication Department and other departments across the institution, was attended by ASCOM executives, past leaders of the association, and invited guests. It served as a platform for interaction between freshers and returning students, fostering unity, mentorship, and a sense of belonging within the academic community.
One of the major highlights of the night was the crowning ceremony of Mr and Miss ASCOM, which followed a series of screenings and a voting process involving members of the association. After careful evaluation and participation by students, the titles of Mr and Mrs ASCOM were awarded to Olabamiji Emmanuel Praise and Aimasiko Fatimat Olawunmi respectively.
The Freshers and Stalites Night was filled with music, entertainment, and moments of celebration, leaving participants with memorable experiences.
