The Association of Student Communicators Press (ASCOM PRESS) officially inducts new members into the Editorial Board.
Speaking at the event, the Editor-in-Chief (EIC), Okon Kingsley, expressed appreciation to the executive members for their dedication and commitment to the advancement of the Editorial Board. He also commended members of ASCOM PRESS for their unwavering support and valuable contributions toward the growth and success of the press body.
The EIC charged the newly inducted members to uphold the principles of ethical journalism, professionalism, and responsible information dissemination. He urged them to serve as worthy ambassadors of ASCOM PRESS and the Mass Communication Department in all their engagements.
In recognition of their service and commitment, Certificates of Return were presented to the Production Manager and General Secretary, who had been serving in their respective capacities over the past few months.
Prior to the presentation of membership certificates, the Editor-in-Chief administered the oath of membership and commitment to the inductees, emphasizing the responsibilities and expectations associated with their new status. He subsequently presented certificates of membership to the new members and encouraged them to remain dedicated to the vision, values, and continuous development of ASCOM PRESS.
A total of 11 members were inducted into the Editorial board.
This aligns with the leadership's commitment to nurturing future journalists, media professionals, and press leaders who will contribute meaningfully to the media industry and society at large.
