The Department of Local Government and Development Studies at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, organized an important program at the early hour of Thursday, February 6th, 2025. The event was aimed at addressing issues related to examination malpractice, indecent dressing, and antisocial activities.
During the program, the Director of Student Affairs, Mrs. Akintunde, warned students to refrain from bringing incriminating materials and phones into the examination halls. She also outlined the penalties and consequences associated with such actions.
Additionally, the school counselor advised against indecent dressing, encouraging students to adopt modesty and moderation in their clothing and general lifestyle choices.
The program host, the Head of the Department of Local Government and Development Studies, expressed gratitude for the attendance of the guests and urged students to strictly adhere to the school’s rules and guidelines, as well as to take the guests' advice seriously.
The event featured various segments and was attended by distinguished guests, including staff members of the department: Dr. Adedokun Adenike, Dr. Adesiyan Emmanuel, Bar. Oladepo Kazeem (the Head of the Department), Mr. Amusat Kabiru, Mr. Sanni Olukayode, Mr. Ajao Sherif, Mrs. Adeleke Busrooh, among others.
