The Department of Business Administration and Management, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has received a major boost with the commissioning of a new Library, Resource Centre and Conference
Hall.
The colourful event, led by the Acting Rector, Dr. Taiwo Lasisi, brought together students, staff, alumni and friends of the department. Notable guests included the Acting Bursar, Dr. Adedokun; Deputy Registrars, Mrs. Adebiyi and Mrs. Adekanmi; and CEO of Top Success Group, Dr. Tope Odetayo.
Head of Department, Dr. Atinuke Bukola, traced the department’s achievements and praised the efforts of past leaders. Former Heads of Department also shared goodwill messages, while the Acting Dean and Rector commended the department’s developmental vision.
Dr. Odetayo stole the spotlight with donations of cash, equipment and materials worth millions, earning him the title of Grand Patron of the department. The Rector and past leaders were also honoured with awards for their contributions.
In commissioning the projects, Dr. Lasisi hailed the department’s foresight and thanked alumni for their support, describing Dr. Odetayo as a model alumnus.
