Marking another successful tenure of leadership under his guidance and expertise, Dr. Olatunji Olusoji has been reappointed as the Head of Department (HOD), Mass Communication Department.
Dr. Olatunji, is a seasoned academic and respected media scholar, with outstanding leadership qualities, dedication to academic excellence, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of the department. His reappointment is widely seen as a testament to his outstanding contributions and the trust the institution continues to place in his capability. This reappointment marks fourth tenure as the HOD of the best department in the institution.
Under his previous tenure, the department recorded significant achievements, including improved academic standards, infrastructural development, and strengthened student–faculty relations. His open-door policy and commitment to mentorship have earned him admiration from both students and staff.
Reacting to the news, members of the Association of Student Communicators (ASCOM) expressed joy and appreciation for his reappointment. In a congratulatory message, the association praised his leadership style and continuous efforts in promoting excellence and innovation within the department.
“Your reappointment reflects your proven leadership, dedication, and vision for the Mass Communication Department. We are confident that your new tenure will usher in more progress and achievements,” the message read.
With his reappointment, Dr. Olatunji is expected to continue driving initiatives that will further enhance the department’s reputation as one of the best in The Polytechnic Ibadan. His renewed leadership is anticipated to bring greater innovation, academic growth, and lasting impact on both students and the institution as a whole.
