AZEEZ KEHINDE RAISES STANDARD, SURPRISES I.T. STUDENTS

The Association of Student Communicators (ASCOM), under the administration of Comrade Azeez Kehinde, has left many Industrial Training students overwhelmed today, 29th June 2022, after paying them a courtesy visit at Secretariat and Apete.

The visit, which could be said to be the first in the history of Mass Communication department, was led by the President, Comrade Azeez Kehinde, alongside the Financial Secretary, Comrade Popoola Matthew, the Public Relations Officer 1, Comrade Ojebode Simon and the Public Relations Officer 3, Comrade Ajayi Blessing.

While addressing the interns, Comrade Azeez eulogized them for not boycotting the right path.

"We have people like you that are in their homes sleeping and doing all sort of things, with the mindset that they're going to 'runs' it when it's time. But you have decided to come and add more knowledge to what you have been taught in school"

"It saddens that the country isn't making enough provision of jobs for graduates anymore, but I'm happy that you have not restricted yourselves to the branches of Mass Communication. Just like myself, I'm a journalist and still doing well in other fields. I'll implore you all to be of good character and promote the name of our department"- he added.

In his words of admonishment, Comrade Simon also enjoined the students to remain focused.

"You shouldn't let anything distract you from what you're here for initially. Be of good character and always see the sky as your starting point."- he admonished.

Reacting to the executives' visit to the interns in his organization, the CEO of FOLLOW SPOT LIMITED, praised the President and appealed to see more of him.

"Kehinde has been a good man, he isn't just a president, he is more like a brother, and this visit has even made him more of a father to the students. His visit is beautiful and it has been something I've been looking up to."

"I hope very soon, he'll come around and have a roundtable discussion with the students and even teach them some things. I know the students would love to have him around" - he appealed.

In their different remarks, the students, who couldn't hold back their joy, appreciated the President for not forsaking them.

"Most people, after campaigning and winning their elections, the forget about people like us that voted them in, but in the case of our President, he proved to be different from them. His visit shows that he loves and cares for us. I wish him good luck in his administration."- Abiodun Felix

"I like him, at least for not forgetting us and for having us at the back of his mind. This shows that he's a good man and I'll implore him to keep it us"- Joyce Oluwatoyosi.

However, the visit to the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Oyo State Secretariat, proved abortive as it was gathered that no student has been deployed to the Ministry for internship at the moment.
